Putting forth a shiny new cybernetic foot today. My two year plan finishes up on Thursday and the time has come to take stock of what went well and what still lies undone.

Assassin is a 100 Ways story that features political intrigue, and an unspoken vow of revenge. I wrote this story on the impetus of a man firing a rifle with a bolt action. Exploring the notion of professionalism. At one point the story was largely centered around the escape. A fake attack, a burned apartment, a gun hidden that needed to be recovered. But none of these elements were essential to the story I wanted to tell. In fact most of them were highly distracting from what I was trying to do.
So I pared it down to just a professional trying to figure out what went wrong. Unspoken is the doubt of skill slipping, of getting older, of not making the cut. Just a man who knows that something else went wrong. Assured enough to figure it out, loyal enough to his self to finish what he started.
